I got in my first full week of training. Well, “full” might be a bit strong. I didn’t ride or do anything but run, but run I did. I managed 32 miles at a slow 8:35 pace, much of it over hilly terrain. There is still very little spring to my step and I definitely feel the last few miles. My long run was a 9.5 mile hilly run through Shelburne Farms. Last year at this time there was probably 2 feet of snow on some of the trails I ran on, but then last year I could have probably run through those 2 feet of snow at the same pace I ran yesterday’s 9.5.
