Recovery pace run, with the New Balance MT101s

I went out for my first run with the New Balance MT101s.  I have been a little concerned about the uppers since they are a bit stiff, especially the right, and dig into my ankle in places.  I laced them up loosely and then went out for 5.5 easy miles.

The uppers weren’t a problem; the ride was responsive but perhaps a little harsh.  That’s to be expected for such a light trail racing shoe.  Overall, my first impression is a good one.

I am still feeling a little pain in my right medial knee, radiating towards my right patellar tendon.  I’ll need to pay close attention to this one, since patellar tendon issues have been the only thing to take me out recently.
